Twitter Thread Splitter
Paste long-form text and instantly split it into a numbered Twitter/X thread. Smart splitting at sentence boundaries, never mid-word.
How the Twitter Thread Splitter Works
Writing Twitter threads manually is tedious. You have to count characters, find good break points, number each tweet, and make sure nothing gets cut off mid-sentence. This free thread splitter does all of that instantly.
Paste any long-form text — a blog post, article, newsletter, or notes — and the tool splits it into tweet-sized chunks at natural sentence boundaries. Each tweet is automatically numbered (1/N, 2/N, etc.) and stays within Twitter/X's 280-character limit.
The color-coded character counter shows you at a glance which tweets have room to spare (green), which are getting tight (yellow), and which might need editing (red). You can copy the entire thread at once or grab individual tweets.
Need to include a “via @handle” mention? Use the optional handle reservation field to automatically leave room in each tweet for your attribution.
